Fern (saniainen in Finnish) grows in shady forests

"Nature's soft tones and different lines, rhythms and shapes make me take pictures," says photographer Anna Wallendahr about the sources of inspiration for her photos. Fern is the undergrowth of shady and moist forests. The leaves of the fern are symmetrically bifoliate. They get a beautiful light brown color in autumn. Saniainen is part of Anna's Look close photo series, where she wants to wake people up to take a closer look. The greatest beauty can be found in small details.
